Pentagram Necklace with large Grey Agate Gemstone

This is a very detailed pentagram pendant. It's a solid piece, made to look like all overlapping parts are bound to keep it together. The pendant measures 30mm in diameter.

I added a large faceted grey agate drop which is embellished with a very ornate silver tone bead cap. Total length of that drop is 5cm.

Both pendants are attached to a 60cm long, 2.4mm wide ball chain which closes with a classic ball chain connector. The chain is finished with white gold to give it a durable and beautiful look.

The pentagram was used in ancient times as a Christian symbol for the five senses and much later gained popularity as a magic symbol, attributing the five neoplatonic elements to the five points.

The five pointed star symbol is also used by one of the Freemason's orders (Order of the Eastern Star) and in the national flags of Morocco (adopted 1915) and Ethiopia (adopted 1996).
